Curriculum

The curriculum at L.C.S. adheres to the requirements set out by Alberta Education. It also includes curriculum developed by Christian Schools International.

Elementary classes (grades 1 to 6) include
Bible, Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, Health, Physical Education, Art, French and Music. Junior High classes (grades 7 to 9) include Bible, Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, Health, Physical Education, Art, French and Information Processing.  Junior High complementary classes include: Drama, Student Leadership, Digital Photography, Art, Foods, Music Appreciation, Drafting and Scale Modeling.

L.C.S. recognizes that each student has a different learning style and learns in a different way and to a different degree. L.C.S. believes that provisions must be made for the education of exceptional students to encourage and ensure growth.

Intramural sports program runs throughout the year for grades four through nine. This is a voluntary program, highlighting a different sport each month. A variety of inter-school sports are also offered to the students. These include volleyball, basketball, track and field, hockey, crosscountry and badminton. There are also Drama and Computer clubs for the students to become involved with.

Classes run from September through June.
