History
Original school:

In 1945 a small group of committed parents established Lacombe Christian School southwest of Lacombe, on the present site of Woodynook Christian Reformed Church. By 1966, the school's future was uncertain due to fluctuating enrolment figures and changing government regulations. Part of fluctuating enrolment figures were due to the fact that a second Christian elementary school, Calvin Christian School, had begun operations in the town of Lacombe in the fall of 1966. In 1967 the two schools became one under the control of an amalgamated society, continuing operation in the town of Lacombe as Lacombe Christian School. (LCS).
Over the years, LCS has grown, thanks to God’s continued blessings, and parents’ dedication. In 1982 a gymnasium and additional classrooms were added to accommodate increased enrolment, and only 8 years later - February 1990, a second building was opened and now houses ECS classes and grades one to three. In 2001, the original west school building was replaced with a modern, spacious facility. This building currently has students from grades four to nine as well as administrative offices.
Lacombe Christian School is a parent governed private school serving parents from a variety of denominational backgrounds.
