Our Staff, Board and Structure:

Staff:  Teachers at Lacombe Christian School are hired by the board after careful appraisal of their academic qualifications and their Christian commitment. All teachers at Lacombe Christian School are fully certified in the Province of Alberta.  In addition to maintaining the highest academic standards as possible, the teacher, as a believer, must reflect at all times by word and example the love of Christ, and the honour of God.

Board:  The LCS Board is made up of nine elected (volunteer) members who are charged with governing the school in accordance with the desires of the Society. Numerous committees assist the board in the execution of its duties.  A list of Committees that are in operation are:  Education Committee, Service Committee, Development Committee, Endowment Fund Committee, Booster Club, Finance Committee, Salaries/Benefits Committee, Transportation Committee, Maintenance Committee, and Auction Committee.  These committees consist of parents who willingly share their gifts and talents.  It takes many hands and hearts to run this school and these committees consist of dedicated parents and society members who willingly share their gifts and talents with LCS.

Structure:  Membership is based on wholehearted subscription to the Constitution and Bylaws of the Lacombe Christian School Society. Applicants for membership must be over the age of eighteen and must sign a membership form and pay the $100.00 annual membership fee.  Lacombe Christian School is a member of Christian Schools International. We are also a member of the Association of Independent Schools and Colleges in Alberta.

Our Vision Statement:
“To the glory of God, by His grace, and on the foundation of His word, Lacombe Christian School strives to nurture and educate children to be Spirit-filled disciples of Christ and responsible, discerning citizens on society.”
