On September 10, 1945 at 9:00 am, Miss Alida Keegstra welcomed 27 pupils to this new, one-room school. Each year thereafter, LCS saw growth. Soon the original school room became to small, and over the next 65 years more modern facilities were built. Today, we are blessed to dwell in two beautiful campuses, schooling 326 students with 34 staff!
The original schoolhouse Museum is located directly North of Woodynook Church, on Woodynook Road.
On September 5th, 2010 the LCS Historical Society opened up the museum as a public display of God’s great faithfulness. If you would like to view the photo collection, please click below:
