Curriculum
The curriculum at LCS adheres to the requirements set out by Alberta Education. It also includes curriculum developed by Christian Schools International. We recognize that each student has a different learning style and learns in a different way and to a different degree. We believe that provisions must be made for the education of exceptional students to encourage and ensure growth.
Early Childhood Services (ECS) Kindergarten
ECS in a Christian environment is a very important and necessary step in the life of every child. It is designed to prepare children to begin academic learning in the light of God's Word and to help children adapt to the school routine in a Christian atmosphere. We desire it to be a happy experience, as we believe children do better in school if they begin with an enthusiasm for learning and a desire to act as a child of God.
Kindergarten students attend school full days on either a Monday/Wednesday or Tuesday/Thursday combination. The ECS program strives to achieve a balance between the informal nurturing of the home and the more formalized teaching of the school. Our Kindergarten students attend classes on the East Campus.
